Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Tuesday held discussions with the Functional Executive Committee of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

A statement from her office noted that the delegation, led by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the NDC, and Mr Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party’s General Secretary, also included other prominent leaders of the party.

According to the statement, the purpose of the visit was to convey the leadership’s goodwill and reaffirm their steadfast support for the Vice President.

“I am deeply grateful for their continued prayers, solidarity, and encouragement,” the Vice President said.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang expressed her appreciation for the sense of unity and shared purpose that defines the party and urged all members to safeguard that spirit, even during challenging times. She highlighted the need for focus and commitment as they pursue the party’s vision.

“As we forge ahead, I call for a renewed collective effort toward the national reset agenda led by His Excellency (President) John Dramani Mahama,” she said.

“Together, let us work to deliver on our commitments for the advancement of our beloved nation.”
