The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has announced the immediate suspension of the Central Management System (CMS) used by the National Service Authority (NSA) due to concerns surrounding the agency’s digital infrastructure.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry indicated that the decision follows a directive from the Office of the President.

“This decisive step has been taken in the national interest to allow for a comprehensive technical and forensic review of the platform,” the statement read.

The Ministry assured the public, particularly National Service Personnel and stakeholders, that the ongoing operations of the NSA would not be disrupted during the review period.

“Alternative systems and verification procedures are being reviewed to maintain smooth and transparent service delivery,” it added.

National Service Personnel and the wider public were urged to remain calm and cooperate with the appropriate authorities during the exercise.

“Further update will be communicated in due course,” the statement concluded.
