The Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Tamas Feher, has called on Ghanaian industries to integrate smart and sustainable solutions into urban development to drive economic growth and enhance environmental resilience.

Speaking at the Pureco Africa Industry Workshop in Accra, which focused on water management solutions, Ambassador Feher underscored the importance of innovative technologies in shaping Ghana’s urbanization efforts.

He emphasized that strategic investments in modern infrastructure would not only boost efficiency but also create long-term economic and environmental benefits for businesses and communities.

“By adopting modern wastewater treatment facilities, smart cleaning solutions, and eco-friendly water storage systems, Ghana can ensure its urban growth remains resilient, healthy, and economically vibrant,” he stated.

Reaffirming Hungary’s commitment to technology transfer through bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Feher noted that fostering strategic partnerships between the two nations could help address Ghana’s urban challenges while promoting industrial innovation.

“Hungary and Ghana enjoy a growing partnership, and we are proud to support Ghana’s infrastructure development,” he added.

During the workshop, Delali Aklika, representing the PurAID Drinking Water Treatment Unit, highlighted Pureco Africa’s deployment of advanced technologies tailored to Ghana’s unique geological and hydrogeological conditions.

The event brought together key stakeholders and industry leaders from various sectors to explore emerging trends, challenges, and business opportunities in Ghana’s water sector and water resource management.

Discussions centered on leveraging cutting-edge solutions to address the country’s growing urban needs while ensuring sustainable industrial expansion.
